1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, understand how you interact with content, and improve your overall experience. PlayerOS uses cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) across our marketing site and platform. Local storage is not a cookie — it is not automatically sent to our servers with every request — but we disclose it here because it serves the same purpose of remembering information on your device.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
We categorize our cookies and local storage into the following groups:
Essential Cookies & Storage
Required for the platform to function. These include authentication session data, property/tenant context, and player-inbox sessions. You cannot opt out of essential cookies and storage as the platform cannot operate without them.
Analytics Cookies
Help us understand how visitors interact with our website and diagnose errors. We use these to measure page performance, identify popular content, and improve the user experience. Analytics activity includes page-view tracking and error reporting (Sentry), and, once enabled, page-view and product-usage analytics (Google Analytics).
Preference Cookies
Remember your choices such as which property you're viewing, whether the dashboard sidebar is open, and other UI settings. These make your experience more personalized but are not strictly necessary.
Marketing Cookies
Used to deliver relevant content and measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. We do not currently set any third-party marketing/advertising cookies on our marketing site. If that changes, this policy and the consent banner will be updated before any such cookie is set.

4. Third-Party Services
Some cookies or scripts are set by third-party services we use. These third parties have their own privacy policies governing how they use information collected. We do not control these third-party cookies. Currently, we do not use third-party advertising cookies on our marketing site.

5. Data Retention
Session cookies and session-scoped local storage are deleted when you log out or close your browser (as noted per item above). Persistent items remain on your device for the duration specified in the table above, or until you delete them manually. Aggregated analytics data is not linked to your personal identity.
6. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
When you first visit PlayerOS, a cookie consent banner allows you to accept or customize which cookie categories are enabled. You can update your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer, which reopens this same preferences dialog. Additionally, most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. Note that disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using certain features of the platform.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this cookie policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last revised.
